The Edo State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security has launched a new Youth Empowerment Program aimed at engaging young people in agriculture and equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the sector.
The program, which is part of the ADP’s efforts to promote youth participation in agriculture, will provide training, mentorship, and access to resources for young aspiring farmers. It will also offer support for agribusiness startups and linkages to markets.
Speaking at the launch event, the Director of the ADP highlighted the importance of engaging young people in agriculture, stating that they are the future of the sector and key to achieving food security and sustainable development in the state.
The Youth Empowerment Program is open to young people between the ages of 18 and 35 who are interested in agriculture. Applications for the program can be submitted through the ADP’s website.
The launch of the Youth Empowerment Program is part of the ADP’s commitment to promoting youth involvement in agriculture and building a vibrant and sustainable agricultural sector in Edo State.
